In preparation for major construction commencing, early works have been underway along the rail corridor since July. Subject to approval from the relevant authorities, work planned for the month ahead is as follows. Construction Work on the light rail stop foundations is scheduled to begin this month with the footings for the platforms being constructed at the Marion, Taverners Hill, Lewisham West, and Dulwich Grove stops. Two power poles on either side of Parramatta Road are scheduled to be relocated to enable the lift shafts for the Taverners Hill light rail stop to be constructed. To allow for works to begin on the Parramatta Road bridge, hoardings on the pedestrian footpaths underneath the bridge will be erected.
