Uber driver found guilty of driving hire car without licence or registration It is not sustainable, equitable or safe to allow a foreign multinational to pay the fines of drivers caught operating illegally, while regulated taxi services are held accountable under the law. Rideshare drivers are not subject to ongoing government-backed criminal record checks or ongoing vehicle safety checks.
