Abacus/Diamond Cars Update... By Thomas the Taxi.

TfL/LTPH have varied the license of Diamond cars to remove Abacus as an operating centre, as a result of ongoing compliance action. In essence they have revoke Diamond cars licenses at Abacus again. As of yet Diamond cars haven't appealed, but they probably will. If they do appeal, they will be allowed to operate until the appeal is heard. If they don't appeal, Diamond Cars have 21 days from the date the letter was issued, after which time they must stop trading altogether at Abacus. The variation is only applicable for their operation at Abacus and they can continue to trade at all their other venues (at the moment!). The 21 days to appeal period, is not a TfL rule, it's the law! At present, this is all the information we have been given. We will post more as and when it becomes available.
